I'm Nicki Pousson, a Licensed Associate Broker with HomeSmart based in Chandler, Arizona. I've been in Arizona real estate for over 30 years, through the Savings and Loan Crisis, the 9/11 slowdown, the 2008 housing crash, and the market swings since. Every one of those downturns taught me something I still use today, from the systems Chuck and I built after 9/11 to the short sale and foreclosure expertise I picked up in 2008, where I hold both my CDPE and SFR certifications.

Early on I spent a decade marketing East Valley subdivisions for major homebuilders, at one point averaging 300 listings a month. That experience gave me deep knowledge of these communities and new construction that I still draw on with clients today. Zillow credits me with over 800 homes sold, though I believe the real number is higher.

But none of that is what I lead with. What I lead with is relationship. My business has been built almost entirely on referrals from past clients, not advertising or leads. I've never purchased a lead in my career. Instead, I show up: handwritten notes, phone calls just to catch up, small gifts that mean something, and client appreciation events throughout the year.
